Alpha Management: COVID 19 Update

adminStandard

During this extremely difficult situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19), nothing is more important to Alpha Management than the health and safety of our clients and employees.

In line with the regulations and guidelines issued by the UAE Ministry of Health & Prevention (MoHAP), the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) and the World Health Organisation (WHO), Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) and Abu Dhabi Global Markets (ADGM), Alpha Management is continuing to operate at [near] full capacity. We have moved to a “work from home” basis for most staff and can schedule calls or video conferences for anyone wishing to discuss company administration with us. The jurisdictions that we deal with continue to function, and we can provide nearly all the same services that we offered before the pandemic.

In fact, due to many new emergency regulations being put into place with regards to UAE Free-Zones, now might be a better time than for the incorporation and administration of companies, foundations, and structures; many Free-Zones have implemented initiatives aimed at enhancing liquidity and reducing costs for companies.

For example, DIFC have announced a waiver of annual licensing fees on new registrations during the next three months, and a 10% discount of renewal fees for existing license holders. DIFC is also allowing deferred payments in respect to properties owned by DIFC Investments for a period up to six months. Similar schemes are being introduced by all the members of the Dubai Free-Zones Council, including Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority, Dubai Airport Free Zone Authority, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai World Trade Centre, Dubai Development Authority, Dubai South, Meydan City Corporation, and Dubai Multi Commodities Centre. ADGM will also be offering incentives very shortly as will other Free-Zone Authorities.

Business is continuing as normal, and currently all services can be offered without the physical presence of the client needed.
